I am sure by now, everyone has seen some version of the latest craze, the "Harlem Shake." It is hard to miss when literally everyone is doing it. Offices, commuters, college kids, even military members are doing it. Whatever. To be honest, I really did not want to post something about this because the hoopla will be archaic by next weekend. However, with the epidemic now spreading into college basketball, I feel obligated to address it. Will teams be better after doing the shake? Or is the shake just a reflection of a teams lack of focus? I will keep my eye on this and see how this seizure affects the game. First up, George Washington University.
Analysis: Awful, just awful. No heart. No pizazz. Big heads of people I can't recognize. Lazy bernies on the far right. No wonder this team is 11-11. Average on the hardwood and average in Harlem. Pops Mensah-Bonsu ain't walking through that door.
G-Dub travels to VCU Saturday night so we will see if this lethargic effort leads to something. Stay tuned for future Harlem Shake analysis' when they inevitably trickle their way to YouTube.
